Bethlehem, Pa. — December 2, 2016 — PBS39 has a long-standing tradition of telling the stories and traditions of the Greater Lehigh Valley. This December, the public media station is proud to present A Celebration of Our Community, a Tuesday night block of locally-produced, original programming.
Alongside PBS39’s long-running academic quiz show, Scholastic Scrimmage, and the Emmy-nominated weekly news magazine program, FOCUS, PBS39 will broadcast encore presentations of recent PBS39 documentaries Second to None: Liberty High School Grenadier Band, Wyomissing: An American Dream, and The Salvation Army Legacy. These will be accompanied by ‘From the Vault’ presentations of Bethlehem Steel: The People Who Built America, Hollywood on Hamilton: Remembering Hess’s, and Bringing New Life to Old Steel.
“PBS39 has always been a proud supporter of the communities we serve,” said Teri Haddad, EdD, SVP of Education and Production at PBS39. “A Celebration of Our Community serves as a holiday homecoming; one which revisits the many captivating local stories PBS39 has told over the years.”
