The city of Allentown is prepared for Saturday’s expected snow storm.
According to Interim Director of Public Works Craig Messinger, plows and salt spreaders are mounted on 43 trucks to make traveling in the city as safe as possible. “We have the equipment and manpower ready for whatever Mother Nature throws at us,” said Messinger.
City streets have been brined. The city has an ample supply of road salt and anti-skid material.
The city’s Emergency Operations Center will open at 7 o’clock this evening. The city’s “Snow Operations Hotline” will be open at 610-437-7669.
