Appointment Expands Lehigh County’s Impact and Presence Nationally
(Allentown, PA)- Lehigh County Executive Phillips Armstrong was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the County Executives of America. He will join the ranks of a variety of nationally esteemed local leaders ranging from mayors to county judges. All are county-wide elected officials.
“It’s truly an honor to have been selected by my peers and fellow elected officials to serve in a leadership role for this critical national organization. I look forward to representing the interests of local government and ensuring that the CEA continues to provide valuable advice to county government,” said Phillips Armstrong.
The County Executives of America began operating independently in 1994 to facilitate policy discussions regarding local issues and act as a representative body for county government in Washington.
The United States has over 840 county executive governments over 45 states. The County Executives of America currently has 700 affiliated members.
