TREXLERTOWN, Pa. – The 2017 Rodale Corporate Challenge had nearly double the number of teams as the 2016 version, however, the top-three teams in the results remained the same. Team Bicycling Magazine repeated as Rodale Corporate Challenge champions on Friday night at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center. Both of Valley Preferred’s teams finished second and third.

Celestica, Lehigh County, Red Robin, Bosch Rexroth, Air Products, Buckeye Partners, Computer Aid, Coordinated Health, Summit Urology, B.Braun, and Rodale were all represented in the Corporate Challenge field on Friday night.

In addition to the Rodale Corporate Challenge, there was also racing for the professional men and women’s fields. Stephen Hall of Australia won the men’s overall omnium with 19 points. Elspeth Huyett won the women’s overall omnium with 19 points as well.

The 2017 World Series of Bicycling Concert Series continues next week with Sprint Wars, a first-ever event at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center. It’s also Star Wars night as fans are encouraged to wear their Star Wars attire to the race.

Gates open at 6 p.m. with racing starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale in advance here and can also be purchased at the box office on the night of the event. Tickets start as low as $6 with children 12 years old and younger being $2.
