Allentown School District announces the following events will take place between in our schools.
NOTE: The Allentown School District will be closed Monday, January 25 for a Staff Development Day.
- William Allen High School – January 26; 6:30 p.m.: 2016 Allentown-William Allen Hall of Fame Program will take place at J. Milo Sewards Gymnasium between the Girls Varsity Basketball Game (vs. Bethlehem Catholic) and the Boys Varsity Basketball Game. 2016 honorees include: Larry Seiple, Special Award; Joe Wolf, Special Award; Anne Wenninger, Coach; Amber Troxell, Student-Athlete; Ebony Barbosa, Student-Athlete; and Raymond Barbosa, Student-Athlete.
- South Mountain Middle School – January 26 and 28 and February 2 and 4; 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.: ELL Conversation Groups in the Library. Open to all Allentown residents.
- Mosser Elementary School – January 27 – 29 and February 2 – 4; 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Cat in the Hat Visit for Grades K through 2.
- Raub Middle School – January 27; 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.: Family Bingo Night. Free food, raffles and prizes. Students must be accompanied by an adult. Concessions will be available for purchase.
- William Allen High School – February 3; 5:00 p.m.: Financial Aid Information Night will be in the Auditorium.
- ASD – February 3 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. English Language Learners Workshop (ELL/ESOL) – part of the Parent University – will be held in the Jefferson Elementary School Auditorium. Receive information on Title III, Language Domains, W-APT and WIDA testing and exit criteria and how to access the ASD Community Portal; to better understand how their student is receiving services. This workshop is FREE and open to all ASD parents/guardians.
- McKinley Elementary School – February 6; 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.: Book Blast: Habits 4 and 5, Think Win-Win, Seek First to Understand, then to be Understood, held at Christ Lutheran Church, 1245 W Hamilton St.
