Ta-Nehisi Coates’ critically acclaimed book about racism in America Between the World and Me won the National Book Award in November 2015. It was just named a finalist for the prestigious National Book Critics Circle award. Nobel Prize winner (Literature 1993) Toni Morrison says “This book is required reading.”
The public is invited to a community-wide conversation on this thought-provoking book by an American Black man to his son about what is it like to inhabit a black body and find a way to live within it.
Dr. James B. Peterson, Associate Professor of English and Director of Africana Studies at Lehigh University will facilitate the discussion.
Books may be purchased at a discount from the Moravian Book Shop or the Lehigh University Bookstore.
