BETHLEHEM, PA–Powerful singer and multi-instrumentalist Vanessa Collier, larger-than-life Texas Piano Man Robert Ellis featuring Ian O’Neil of Deer Tick and Funky Dawgz Brass Band will take the stage at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks this spring. A one-woman band, Vanessa Collier makes her debut at the Musikfest Café presented by Yuengling on March 23, 7:30 p.m. to deliver her signature blend of funk, soul, rock and blues punctuated by passionate vocals and soulful instrumentals. Though Collier’s career is in its youth, she has already made a name for herself with numerous accolades, including three Blues Music Award nominations. She has also released three albums, “Heart, Soul & Saxophone” in 2014, “Meeting My Shadow” in 2017 and her most recent, “Honey Up,” in 2018. Tickets for the show are $15-$20.
As a performer, Robert Ellis found his niche as the unapologetically extravagant Texas Piano Man, combining country, rock, pop and other styles in both his music and attire. He will perform at the Musikfest Café on April 3, 7:30 p.m., bringing a truly unique southern glamour to the Bethlehem music scene. Tickets for the show are $18-$22.
Also performing at the ArtsQuest Center this spring is Funky Dawgz Brass Band on March 22, 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the show, which will take place in the Fowler Blast Furnace Room, are $10 in advance at $12 day of show.
