BETHLEHEM, PA—In celebration of World Vegan Day Nov. 1, tickets for the Lehigh Valley Vegan s’Mac Down Nov. 18 are discounted $5 today only. Tickets for the event are on sale now at www.steelstacks.org and 610-332-3378. General admission tickets are $15 for the public ($20 regularly). VIP tickets, which include a vegan tote bag and early entrance to the event for the first chance to taste the macs and meet the chefs, are $24 ($29 regularly).

From classic dishes like Roasted’s baked mac and cheese with a bread crumb topping to kicked up favorites like Levy’s “Easy Cheesy Buffalo Cashew S’mac and Cheesy,” the Vegan s’Mac Down will feature a variety of vegan “mac and cheeze” recipes from more than 10 restaurants throughout the region.

Sessions take place inside the ArtsQuest Center’s Musikfest Café presented by Yuengling at 1-2:30 p.m. and 4-5:30 p.m., with VIP sessions at 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. During the afternoon, attendees can taste all the delicious “mac and cheeze” presented by restaurants and caterers from throughout the region. After sampling each delectable dish, attendees will vote for their favorites. The s’Mac Down Champion will be awarded a custom-blown trophy from the ArtsQuest Glass Studio at the Banana Factory.

The event will also feature variety of vegan friendly vendors like Weyerbacher Brewing Company, Vegan Treats, No Whey Bakery, LV Kombucha and De Novo, as well as vegan cocktails.

The Lehigh Valley Vegan s’Mac Down is made possible thanks in part to Lehigh Valley Apparel Creations. Proceeds from the event will benefit Lehigh Valley Vegan and the ArtsQuest Arts Education Fund, which helps to provide quality arts and education programs for area students.
