It was a packed house inside the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks Saturday night as The Fabulous Thunderbirds played the Blast Furnace Blues Festival. They delivered a strong performance lead by the frontman and harmonica wailing co-founder of the band Kim Wilson. The Fabulous Thunderbirds have been the quintessential American band. The group’s distinctive and powerful sound, influenced by a diversity of musical styles, manifested itself into a unique musical hybrid via hits like “Tuff Enuff,” “Wrap It Up” and “Look at That.”
