ADVANCED YOUTH POLICE ACADEMY CLASS GRADUATES
Twenty-three Allentown youths graduated today from the Allentown Police Department Advanced Youth Police Academy. Mayor Ed Pawlowski was on hand for the graduation ceremony in City Council Chambers.
The students were provided courses of instruction by city police officers and instructors from Lehigh Career & Technical Institute. Course work included scenario based training.
Community Liaison Officer James Stanko headed-up the program under the direction of Chief Glen Dorney with assistance from officers Matthew Geake, Benjamin Iobst, Anthony Bowland, Daniel Miller and Laurance Harris.
The department offers special thanks to Upside Allentown, Community Action Development, the United Way and the Allentown School District, the project steering committee and area businesses for their monetary and item donations to support the program.
Members of the graduating class are: Lindsey Cintron, Kemoy Blake, Aaron Rigsbee, Lilly Gilleo, Messiah Crawl, Alysa Strouse, Rehken Encarnacion, Tayjhun Rivers, Madison Reyes, Issac Harris, Carlina Salas, Trey Barrett, Adrian Garcia, Selina Hemingway, Shania Hemingway, Matthew Moll, Owen Moll, Joel Peralta, Knyla Delvalle, Fabian Galan, Jeordie Peralta, Jesalyn Cruz and Jailene Peralta.
