team are in Philadelphia this week for Creating Change, the largest national LGBT movement-building conference in the United States. The Conference is organized by the National LGBTQ Task Force and is attended by more than 4,600 LGBT activists, organizers, and community leaders and is in its 29th year.
On Friday January 20th, Executive Director Adrian Shanker and Training Institute Director Liz Bradbury will each be teaching a workshop. Bradbury will lead a workshop teaching LGBT organizations best practices for engaging and training their local police departments on LGBT issues.

Shanker noted, “Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center is proud to be a thought leader in LGBT health equity and in LGBT-Police community relations. This exceptional conference is a great opportunity to highlight the work we do in the Lehigh Valley at a national level and also work with our peers at similar institutions to share the best practices we’ve learned. We also look forward to learning from our peers about areas they have excelled in!”
Creating Change is a five-day conference running January 18-22, 2017 in Philadelphia.
