Uptown Northampton Street Fair Returns for 37th Year with Record-Breaking Vendor Lineup

Northampton, PA — Main Street will once again come alive this September as the Greater Northampton Area Chamber of Commerce, a proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, presents the 37th Annual Uptown Northampton Street Fair on Saturday, September 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

For nearly four decades, the Uptown Northampton Street Fair has brought residents, families, businesses, and visitors together for a day celebrating the energy, creativity, and community spirit of Northampton. This year, the tradition returns bigger than ever, with more than 100 local businesses, makers, artisans, organizations, and exhibitors expected to line Main Street — more vendors than ever before.

Guests can spend the day exploring the many offerings throughout the fair, from handmade goods and specialty products to local businesses and community organizations. With more than 100 vendors to discover, there will be no shortage of unique finds, local favorites, and new businesses to explore.

Food and beverages will also be a major part of the celebration, with a variety of food trucks serving up savory favorites, sweet treats, and plenty of options to satisfy every craving. Wine and adult beverages will be available for guests 21 and over to enjoy responsibly, while several of Northampton’s Main Street restaurants will also be open and serving beer and other refreshments.

Families will have plenty to see and do throughout the Street Fair, including some of this year’s most unique attractions. Get up close with animals featuring Horns and Hooves Mini Moos, or test your strength and climbing skills on the rock wall from LV Rocks. With interactive activities, demonstrations, and surprises happening throughout the day, there will be plenty to keep kids and families entertained from start to finish.

Live entertainment will take center stage throughout the afternoon. The Video Daze 80s Band will kick off the music lineup from 11:10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., bringing the sounds and energy of the 1980s to Main Street. Scott Henninger Comedy will take the stage from 1:15 to 1:45 p.m. for a special comedy performance, followed by Joyous from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Additional community performances, activities, and special surprises will round out the day.

“This event is a true reflection of what makes Northampton such a great community,” said Jessica O’Donnell Gower, Executive Vice President of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. “For 37 years, the Uptown Northampton Street Fair has created a space for local businesses, organizations, performers, families, and neighbors to come together. Watching the event continue to grow year after year, with more vendors and more ways for the community to enjoy the day, is something we’re incredibly proud to be a part of.”

Caitlin Hamlin Myers, Assistant Vice President of the Greater Northampton Area Chamber of Commerce, added, “We’re excited to bring the Uptown Street Fair back for another year and make it bigger and better for our community. With more than 100 vendors, great food, live music, comedy, family activities, and plenty of surprises throughout the day, there is so much to see and experience. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Main Street and allow our local businesses and organizations to shine.”

Admission to the Uptown Northampton Street Fair is free and open to the public. Whether guests come to shop local, grab a bite to eat, enjoy live entertainment, bring the kids for an afternoon of activities, or simply spend time with friends and neighbors, the Street Fair offers a chance to experience the best of Northampton all in one place.
