Tails of Valor® and The Hero Company Celebrate Ongoing Partnership Empowering Veteran & Canine Teams

COOPERSBURG, PA – Tails of Valor®, Paws of Honor, Inc. (TOV), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing non-medicinal canine-assisted rehabilitation for Veterans, Law Enforcement, and First Responders, is proud to highlight its ongoing partnership with The Hero Company.

Since connecting in October 2024, the partnership has generated substantial impact for our nation’s heroes. Through July 2026, The Hero Company has contributed over $44,000 in fiscal donations to Tails of Valor®, directly funding two complete “Journey With A Purpose®” service dog sponsorships for Veterans living with Post-Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), or Military Sexual Trauma (MST). The funding supported two sponsored service dogs: Caldwell, named in honor of a fallen soldier, and Eddie.

Beyond direct financial support, The Hero Company has equipped and celebrated TOV teams by providing 124 bags of Hero Bites dog treats and 342 signature HERO bracelets.

“The Hero Company was founded by a Veteran, and from Day 1 our mission has always been to give 20% of the net proceeds back to organizations that pair Veterans with PTSD / TBI / MST with a service dog at zero cost to the veteran,” said a representative of The Hero Company.

“Tails of Valor is exactly the kind of organization we look to partner with: one with integrity and a true heart for the mission. In addition, the emphasis they place on healing for the Veteran provides a natural next step that The Hero Company can support. We are proud to be associated with such a fine organization as Tails of Valor and look forward to future progress through our partnership.”

Raising, training, and equipping a specialized service dog team requires up to 24 months of dedicated care and exceeds $25,000 per team. Private corporate partnerships remain vital to sustaining these programs. As a privately funded non-profit receiving no federal funding, Tails of Valor® relies on dedicated partners like The Hero Company to deliver its lifetime commitment of support to every graduating team pair.

“Our mission is to treat the whole person through the healing bond of a service canine, provided at no cost to our heroes,” said Heather Lloyd, Founder and Executive Director of Tails of Valor®. “Generous support from partners like The Hero Company makes this life-saving work possible, allowing us to help our Veterans transition from isolation to post-traumatic growth.”
