Stroudsburg, PA – January 9, 2024   The Pocono Chamber, through the Board of Directors and the Public Policy Committee, recently sent a letter to Congressman Matt Cartright and Congresswoman Susan Wild requesting their assistance in expediting the National Park Service (NPS) permit process for the Route 611 closure in Delaware Water Gap.

This December, marks one year DWG has been closed, however this is not the first time. The businesses that are still afloat are truly suffering keeping their doors open. The Chamber’s hope is Congressman Cartright and Congresswoman Wild will take this letter into consideration and do anything in their position to help move NPS forward and work with PennDOT to open this road, safely and quickly.
