Bethlehem, PA, September 6, 2023 – ArtsQuest and Lehigh Valley Vegan are excited to announce the return of the Lehigh Valley Vegan s’MAC Down on Nov. 12 in the Musikfest Café in the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks.
This contest will determine who has the best vegan mac and cheese in the region. Last year’s champion, Hummus House, is back to defend their title!
“Lehigh Valley Vegan is a non-profit group whose mission is to increase vegan options in the region. Through the s’MAC Down, restauranteurs have shifted from reluctantly offering a vegan option to being excited about developing full vegan menus,” Hilari Stahler from Lehigh Valley Vegan said. “Many of us are “foodies” and events like the s’MAC Down prove that choosing a vegan lifestyle doesn’t have to change that!”
Tickets, (available at two levels), are available now on the SteelStacks website. General admission tickets include unlimited vegan mac and cheese samples (while supplies last), the ability to vote for their favorite mac and cheese and access to vendors selling delicious vegan desserts. Premium access tickets include the above as well as access to the event one full hour before general admission, a drink ticket and a specially made gift with the s’MAC Down logo on it.
Doors open for premium access ticket holders at 1 p.m. and general admission is at 2 p.m.

“ArtsQuest is thrilled to partner with Lehigh Valley Vegan again in producing this delicious event. We particularly enjoy getting to celebrate the hard work and creativity of culinary artists across the region, specifically the part where we get to eat what they’ve made! As a vegan for more than ten years myself, this has long been one of my favorite events and I’m so glad it’s back,” Ryan Hill, Senior Director of Programming, said.
