EASTON, Pa. — The Easton Farmers’ Market for this Saturday, October 1 — which was scheduled to move to the Lafayette College Quad to accommodate Easton Garlic Fest downtown — has been cancelled because of the likely impact of wet weather.

“Bringing our typical EFM crowd and dozens of vendors to a rain-saturated Lafayette’s Quad greatly raises the risk of damage to the grassy Quad, which is the heart of Lafayette’s campus,” said EFM Manager Megan McBride. “After conferring with Lafayette administration and many of our vendors, we made the difficult but prudent decision to cancel this weekend’s market.”

McBride suggested that EFM regulars visit the Easton Public Market, 325 Northampton Street, on Saturday (9 a.m. – 8 p.m.) or Sunday (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.) for a selection of local and organic produce from Highmark Farmstand, artisan butchered meats from Saylors & Co., seafood from Silvershell Counter + Kitchen, bread from The Modern Crumb, and a wide selection of prepared foods, treats and beverages from other EPM vendors.

The Easton Farmers’ Market will return to its home on Larry Holmes Drive and Scott Park on Saturday, October 8.
