September 12, 2022 – Univest Financial recently presented Second Harvest Food Bank with a check for $2,500 earned through the Lehigh Valley IronPigs “Double Plays Pay” sponsorship. Each time the IronPigs made a double play, Univest provided a $10 donation to Second Harvest. Second Harvest has served as a program of the Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley since 1982. The organization’s mission is to obtain food and distribute it to people in need through area nonprofits, and to provide resources for education and advocacy to end hunger.

Univest Financial has participated in the IronPigs “Double Plays Pay” sponsorship since 2009 with donations going to various nonprofits including the Fé Foundation, Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley, Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County, Lehigh Valley Zoo, Boys & Girls Club of Allentown, Big Brothers Big Sisters Lehigh Valley, Valley Youth House, The Fund to Benefit Children & Youth and the Community Music School.

In 2021, Univest’s Committed To Local philanthropic giving program made contributions totaling more than $2.1 million dollars to support nonprofit organizations that make a positive difference in the communities it serves.
