Deputy Director of Community and Economic Development (DCED) Mark Hartney announced that he’s leaving Northampton County on May 20th to pursue another job in public service.

“It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the residents of Northampton County,” says Mark Hartney. “I’m very proud of everything DCED was able to accomplish over the last seven-and-a-half years.”

Mr. Hartney’s projects included systemizing the grant system and blight remediation, such as the Glendon Hotel. Mr. Hartney began working for the county in December 2014.

“I thank Mark for his work at the County and wish him every success,” says Lamont McClure. “The changes he helped make here will benefit our residents well into the future.”
