BETHLEHEM, PA—It’s a sensational night under the stars as singer-songwriter and American Idol winner Phillip Phillips headlines Musikfest’s Sands Steel Stage Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. Tickets for the concert are $30-$39 and go on sale April 30, 10 a.m., to ArtsQuest Members and May 3, 10 a.m., to the public at www.musikfest.org and 610-332-3378.

Since releasing his five-times-platinum debut single “Home” in spring 2012, Phillip Phillips has put out two chart-topping albums and taken his expansive brand of earthy, guitar-fueled rock to stages across the globe. With his soulful vocals and ruggedly warm sensibilities, the Georgia-bred 26-year-old saw his first full-length effort, The World from the Side of the Moon, go platinum after debuting at #4 on the Billboard Top 200. In 2014 his second album, Behind the Light, offered up the lead anthemic folk-rock radio hit “Raging Fire.”

Phillips released “Miles” in the summer of 2017 as he toured North America with the Goo Goo Dolls, as a precursor to his recent and highly anticipated third full-length, Collateral, which includes the single “Into The Wild” as well as fan favorite “Magnetic.”

The Phillip Phillips concert is supported by media partner 100.7 WLEV. Other 2019 Sands Steel Stage headliners announced so far include Earth, Wind & Fire Aug. 1 (Preview Night), The Chainsmokers Aug. 2, Steve Miller Band with Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives Aug. 3, Lady Antebellum Aug. 4, Weezer Aug. 5, Train & Goo Goo Dolls Aug. 6, Incubus Aug. 7, Godsmack Aug. 9 and Brad Paisley Aug. 11.

Named the “Best Music Festival in North America” by USA Today’s 10best.com, Musikfest features more than 500 performances on 17 stages throughout Bethlehem over 10 days. Proceeds from Musikfest support ArtsQuest’s free programming for the community year-round at the Banana Factory arts center and the SteelStacks arts and cultural campus. Dates for the 36th edition of the festival are Aug. 2-11. For more information, please visit www.musikfest.org.
