Allentown, PA – The Downtown Allentown Business Alliance, formerly known as the Hamilton District Main Street Program, held its annual meeting and awards ceremony at the monthly networking event, First Monday on October 1st at the Renaissance Allentown Hotel. During this event, the Main Street Program debuted the new DABA logo, launched the downtown Allentown Map & Guide and honored the 2018 Volunteer of the Year.
The Main Street Program changed its name and its focus to be better aligned with the changes occurring in downtown Allentown and to have a greater impact on the businesses they serve. The logo features the iconic structures representative of Allentown with a bright and welcoming look. The logo was designed by Sarah Dams of Sarott Designs.
The Downtown Allentown map & guide showcases the retailers, restaurants and arts and cultural assets and amenities in our new downtown. The guides will be available at the various downtown retailers and restaurants, the Chamber and city offices and throughout the Lehigh Valley at the regional tourism centers.
DABA recognized Lauryn Graves from Air Products as the Volunteer of the Year for her outstanding support of our downtown efforts and events, including Blues, Brews & Barbecue Festival, the Allentown Beer Fest, cocktail trails among other events. Ms. Graves serves on the Board of Directors for the Downtown Allentown Business Alliance and works in Community and Government Relations at Air Products & Chemical.
