PBS39 and ArtsQuest Celebrate 50th Anniversary of ‘Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood’ with Special Guest David Newell July 7-8 at SteelStacks



 

Bethlehem, PA-PBS39 and ArtsQuest have teamed up to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood!

On July 7-8 at 12:30 p.m., Pennsylvania-born actor David Newell, famous for his portrayal of Mr. McFeely, the speedy delivery man on the show, will take part in a Q&A following the screenings of “Won’t You Be My Neighbor” at the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas at the ArtsQuest Center. Plus, on July 8, PBS39 and ArtsQuest Members are invited to stop by PBS39 for an exclusive, members-only event featuring Newell, light fare, drinks and great conversation. David will share his experiences with Fred Rogers and why the message of Mister Rogers is so important, especially in today‘s cultural climate.  Tickets for the July 8 event are limited; members can reserve a spot at wlvt.ticketleap.com/mrmcfeely-visits-pbs39/.

David Newell appears in “Won’t You Be My Neighbor,” a newly released documentary about the life, lessons, and legacy of the beloved children’s television show host, Fred Rogers.
