Corporate Environments of Bethlehem to Host “Chair-ity” Art Auction Benefiting Valley Youth House Programs
Bethlehem, PA (3/16/18) – A unique art auction never before seen in the Lehigh Valley will raise funds to benefit the programs and services of Valley Youth House. The “Chair-ity” Art Auction, sponsored by Corporate Environments, A One Point Company, will feature an iconic office chair transformed into stunning works of art by interior designers and architects of local architectural firms. This year’s featured chair will be the Eames molded plastic armchair.
The “Chair-ity” Art Auction is scheduled for Tuesday, May 1, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Corporate Environments showroom, located at 605 East Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018. In addition to the chairs that will be auctioned, several other events/experiences will be included in the live auction.
The event is open to the public, but is limited to the first 200 attendees. A donation of $25 per person is requested with advanced reservations. Tickets can also be purchased at the door. Advanced reservations and payment can be made at www.valleyyouthhouse.org/chair-ity-2018.
Corporate Environments, A One Point Company, is the Lehigh Valley’s Certified Herman Miller Dealer. One of the Herman Miller brand’s most iconic chairs, the Eames molded plastic armchair, has been a fixture in offices and educational institutions for decades. A number of architectural and design firms from the area are participating in the event, transforming the classic Herman Miller Eames armchairs into a museum-quality work of art. Participants include: Breslin Architects, DesignPoint, Inc., Hemmler + Camayd Architects, Lehigh University, MKSD Architects, Studio M, W2A Design Group, and USA Architects.
