Expanded Event to Feature Live Music, Vendors, Food, and a New Shop Local Trail
Lehighton, PA — The Carbon County Chamber & Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC), in partnership with Lehighton Borough Parks & Recreation and presenting sponsor Mauch Chunk Trust Company, is excited to announce the return of the Carbon County Community Festival on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 12-6 PM in Colonel Jacob Weiss Park, with an additional concert from 6-9 PM in the upper park to round out the day.
Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, this year’s festival is expanding its footprint and offerings to create an even more engaging experience for residents and visitors alike. The free, family-friendly event will take place throughout downtown Lehighton and feature two parks, two live music stages, food vendors, craft and retail vendors, community organizations, and a new Shop Local Trail designed to connect festivalgoers with downtown businesses.
Visitors are encouraged to spend the day exploring everything Lehighton has to offer while enjoying live entertainment, shopping local, and supporting the businesses and organizations that make Carbon County a vibrant place to live, work, and visit.
The newly added Shop Local Trail will guide attendees through participating businesses along First Street and throughout downtown, creating opportunities to discover local shops, restaurants, and services while enjoying festival activities. Additional details on the trail and participating businesses will be announced in the coming weeks.
“The Carbon County Community Festival is all about bringing people together while showcasing the incredible businesses, organizations, and talent that make our communities special,” said Kylie Adams-Weiss, Senior Vice President of the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation. “With expanded entertainment, additional vendor opportunities, and a stronger focus on supporting our downtown businesses, we’re excited to welcome visitors from across the region to Lehighton for a day of community celebration.”
In partnership with Lehighton Borough Parks & Recreation, this year’s festival will feature live music throughout the day across multiple stages. Scheduled performers include Brian Kidd in Colonel Jacob Weiss Park from 12-2 PM, Brake for Turtles in the upper park bandshell behind Borough Hall from 2-4:30 PM, and Bad Influence from 6-9 PM. Additional entertainment is still being confirmed, and a full schedule of events will be announced prior to the festival.
Vendor space remains available for craft vendors, retail vendors, food vendors, and community organizations. Downtown businesses interested in participating in the Shop Local Trail are also encouraged to register as planning for the event continues.
Craft vendors, retail vendors, food vendors, and community organizations interested in participating can find vendor applications online at www.carboncountychamber.org/upcomingvendorevents.
Downtown businesses interested in becoming a stop on the Shop Local Trail are encouraged to contact Kylie Adams-Weiss at kadams@carboncountychamber.org for additional information.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to mark their calendars now for a day of live music, local shopping, family-friendly activities, and community celebration in the heart of downtown Lehighton.
