The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts (Charter Arts) Music Department will present its last JAZZ CAFE of the school year on Thursday, June 4th at 7 PM.This popular series features the school’s talented student musicians and vocalists from the Jazz Lab Band, 11/12 Jazz and Modern Music Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and After School Jazz Club.

Whether you’re a devoted jazz enthusiast or simply looking for an entertaining night out, JAZZ CAFE offers something for everyone.

ABOUT THE CHARTER ARTS MUSIC PROGRAM:

The Charter Arts Music Department offers rigorous training led by award-winning faculty, developing students into versatile musicians and vocalists.

Instrumental students study classical, jazz, and contemporary music while performing in ensembles such as Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Latin Music Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, and Contemporary Music Ensemble, along with specialized small groups. Students also receive focused instruction from faculty specialists in bass, brass, guitar, percussion, piano, strings, and woodwinds.

The vocal music curriculum features classical art song, musical theatre, and pop/contemporary tracks with one-on-one coaching from professional voice instructors. Students may also pursue the Singer/Songwriter track, which includes songwriting, music production, and contemporary performance practices.
