Organized by Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites, the tour also includes a scavenger hunt highlighting World Heritage Sites and National Historic Landmarks throughout the U.S.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. (December 11, 2024)—Visitors will have the opportunity to experience 20 city-themed Christmas trees while visiting three Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites (HBMS) locations — the Moravian Museum of Bethlehem, the Single Sisters’ House and the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts — as part of the 2024 Trees of Historic Bethlehem exhibition on display through Jan. 12, 2025.
A popular draw during the holiday season, Trees of Historic Bethlehem is a self-guided tour that includes admission to HBMS’ Kemerer Museum and the Moravian Museum, with the 20 trees on display decorated by the volunteer members of the Bethlehem Garden Club. Tickets for the tours are on sale now at historicbethlehem.org.
“Our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated Bethlehem Garden Club volunteers who generously give their time and talents each year to decorate Trees of Historic Bethlehem,” said HBMS President and CEO LoriAnn Wukitsch. “Their creativity brings warmth and joy to the holiday season, making the annual tradition special for our community.”
“This year, the trees reflect the enduring cultural legacy of our city. Through the trees’ decor, guests can explore and learn more about the shared history of Moravian Church Settlement World Heritage Sites, as well as the other World Heritage Sites and National Historic Landmarks here in the U.S. We also thank the Bealer-Greene Christmas Endowment for their role in making this exhibition possible. Their support has helped to make this one of the most popular, annual holiday exhibitions in Historic Bethlehem during the holiday season.”
This year, Trees of Historic Bethlehem visitors can complete a scavenger hunt for ornaments highlighting World Heritage Sites and National Historic Landmarks throughout the U.S. in honor of the Moravian Church Settlements—Bethlehem’s World Heritage Site inscription in July 2024. In addition, they can scan the QR Codes located next to each tree for special offers and messages from the tree sponsors. Tree themes/cities and sponsors are listed below.
