Trexlertown, Pa – The Valley Preferred Cycling Center’s highly-regarded VeloFest is back for another great year of events in 2016. Tuesday morning VPCC announced the dates for both the spring and fall VeloFests for this year.
The 2016 Spring VeloFest is set for Saturday, May 7 and the 2016 Fall VeloFest is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 1. Both events are from 8:30 a.m. through 2 p.m. and are rain or shine.
“We are extremely excited for another year of VeloFests at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center,” VPCC Executive Director Marty Nothstein said. “People from around the country come in for these events and we are proud to have it here in T-town.”
VeloFest began in 1976 as a small trade session between friends and has bloomed into the largest cycling marketplace in the nation. VPCC has welcomed over 6,000 people biannually through the gates at VeloFest. Shoppers flock from all over the region and even camp out in the parking lots near the facility to be the first in line for the great deals.
Registration for vendors for the spring VeloFest opens Feb. 1 at 9 a.m.
Additionally, VPCC introduced a new vendor registration discount. Private vendors receive a $20 discount if they register for both the 2016 Spring and Fall VeloFests by March 1 at 4 p.m. Commercial vendors receive a $100 discount if they do the same. The discounts come off the total price after the two registration fees are added together.
“A lot of our vendors, especially the long-time ones, want to ensure that the get the same spot each and every VeloFest,” Nothstein said. “In an effort to help their efforts we decided to offer this discount to give vendors the chance to secure everything early on.”
Guest admission for VeloFest is $8 per guest. There will be no pre-sale of tickets.
