Bethlehem, PA—ArtsQuest fans and shooting enthusiasts are invited to aim high as they come together to raise funds for the nonprofit’s free arts and education programming for the region during the inaugural ArtsQuest Sporting Clays Shoot Sept. 7, 8 a.m., at Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays, 2750 Limestone St., Coplay. The event, presented by Cornerstone Advisors, includes a fun-filled day on the course, followed by lunch and awards presentation at Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays’ lodge. Individual and team registrations can be made online at www.steelstacks.org or in person at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem.
During the sporting clays event, shooters visit 16 different shooting stations at Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays’ course winding through woodlands and an old cement quarry, providing various shooting situations to challenge even the most skilled marksman. The event includes a couple of unique twists to the standard sporting clays shoot, including the opportunity to take aim at the coveted Musikfest Mug on one hole for the chance to win great prizes. The outing concludes with a delicious buffet lunch and the presentation of awards and prizes; awards, custom-blown at the ArtsQuest Glass Studio at the Banana Factory, will be presented to Top Team, Top Male and Top Female shooters.
Cost for the sporting clays tournament is $900 for a four-person team. Or, take advantage of the special early bird rate of $800 by registering by July 23. Entry fee includes 100 shells and clay targets, light breakfast, lunch and ArtsQuest Sporting Clays hat for all four shooters, as well as one golf cart per team. Individual shooters can also participate in the event at a cost of $200 per person.
ArtsQuest is also looking for sponsors to help present this fun day on the course. Sponsorship packages include a four-person team in the shoot, as well as other great benefits. For more information on becoming a sponsor, or to register your team, contact Chris Kobela at 610-332-1357 or ckobela@artsquest.org or Nick Michael at 610-332-1339 or nmichael@artsquest.org.
Proceeds from the ArtsQuest Sporting Clays Shoot presented by Cornerstone Advisors will go to support ArtsQuest’s Step Outdoors Festival and ‘Get Outside’ initiative, which sends students from urban schools on outdoors and nature focused experiences and field trips. Started in 2015, the Step Outdoors festival offers presentations and activities by more than 25 local and state outdoors and conservation groups and is designed to provide children with a hands-on introduction to activities like archery, biking, gardening, hiking, nature photography and more.
