History in the making as Willow Brook Farms brings the 1st Rodeo & Western Heritage Festival to the Lehigh Valley.
A hall of fame quarter horse farm located in Catasauqua and Northampton PA, Willow Brook Farms has been home to numerous hall of fame horses and equestrian events. Now for the first time, they are bringing championship bull riding to the Willow Brook Bull Blast & Western Heritage Festival. “We have worked hard to bring the top cowboys and cowgirls on the East Coast to this event and are committed to making sure this will be the premier rodeo event of the Lehigh Valley” -Phill Hussmann, Rodeo Director and PRCA bullfighter.
This events starts Saturday June 30, 2018 at 12 pm with professional cowboy re-enactors bringing back the feel of the 50’s & 60’s TV Westerns. Live demonstrations, Main Street storytelling and a working cowboy camp with authentic chuck wagon are a few highlights of the Western Heritage Festival. Advance ticket holders not only save $10 off day-of ticket sales, but will be treated to early entrance, a cowboy “happy hour” at the Beer Garden and a “kids rodeo” that will allow the younger fans a chance to participate in rodeo action in the arena. At 7 pm, championship bull riding kicks off the Bull Blast and includes team roping and cowgirl barrel racing. And since one day isn’t enough, on Sunday we kick off the festivities again at 9 am with Cowboy Church and then all the entertaining events of the previous day lead up to the Bull Blast starting at 3 pm.
Local food trucks and food vendors, including Danny’s Fine Foods, Blondie’s Cupcakes, Ziggy’s Roaster, Hillbilly BBQ, Josie’s Fancy Funnels and Jiggy Doggz, will be on site serving food and drinks throughout the day. And for the 21 and over crowd, be sure to check out the Beer Garden! Our hillside viewing allows our fans to choose between bringing chairs or throwing down a blanket on the grass to relax watch the rodeo action.
This is a limited ticket event so be sure to get your tickets early. Children 3 and under do not require a ticket for entrance. Advance tickets are $20, include both the Bull Blast and Western Heritage Festival and are available online. Day-of tickets may be purchased at the gate;
$5 for the Western Heritage Festival and $25 for the Bull Blast. A link for all advance ticket sales can be found on www.willowbrookhorses.com.
