New guidelines will be in effect when Allentown conducts its first electronics recycling event of 2018 on Saturday, January 6.
Electronics recycling is for city residents only and beginning Saturday driver’s licenses will be swiped into a tablet to confirm Allentown residency. In addition, effective in 2018 only three TVs will be allowed per year per address.
Televisions, computers, keyboards, monitors, electronics, printers, scanners and laptops are accepted at the Allentown Yard Waste Site at 1401 Oxford Drive on designated Saturdays. In addition to the annual three television limit, there is a limit of one projection television or two regular televisions per vehicle per day.
During winter (Dec, Jan, Feb & March) electronics recycling will be held on the first Saturday of the month from 10am to 12pm. From April to November, electronics recycling will be held on the first Saturday of the month from 8am to 11am.
