Oktoberfest at SteelStacks’ Brewers Village Expands to Include Local Ciders and Meads for 4th-annual Event Oct. 13-14



 

Tickets for the craft beer tasting sessions, to be held indoors for the first time ever, go on sale today at noon.

BETHLEHEM, PA—More than 30 different hand-crafted beers, along with local meads and ciders for the first time, highlight the 4th-annual Brewers’ Village at Oktoberfest event Oct. 13 and 14 at SteelStacks. Tickets for the two-hour sampling sessions are $20 for ArtsQuest Members and $25 for the public; they go on sale today at noon at www.steelstacks/oktoberfest and 610-332-3378.

At the Brewers Village, which takes place inside the ArtsQuest Center’s Musikfest Café, guests sample a diverse array of Oktoberfests, limited-edition and seasonal beers. New to the event this year is the addition of crisp ciders and flavorful meads as Brewers’ Village welcomes area businesses like Colony Meadery of Allentown and the new Hardball Cider of Bethlehem.

Brewers Village tasting sessions take place Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 1, 4 and 7 p.m. All attendees receive a commemorative sampling mug and have the opportunity to meet the breweries’ staff and brewers, as well as enjoy the delicious food, fun and games of Oktoberfest, now in its seventh year.

Oktoberfest at SteelStacks is a free-admission festival that features German food, beer and live music, as well as attractions such as the popular dachshund races, the Great Lakes Timber Show and more. Festival dates are Oct. 6-8 and 13-15. Hours are Fridays, 5-10 p.m.; Saturdays, noon-10 p.m.; and Sundays, noon-8 p.m. Proceeds from the Brewers’ Village go to support the free programming at the event.  For more information, visit www.steelstacks.org/oktoberfest.
