Applications Are Now Being Accepted For The Chance To Win Grand-Prize Musikfest Performance 

DORNEY PARK, Allentown, PA (May 9, 2016) –Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom has teamed up with ArtsQuest to create a dynamic and interactive new guest experience. The premiere of Battle of the Bands will be a three-week competition featuring local talent and will give one band the opportunity to perform live at Musikfest. This new live music series will be sure to keep park guests rocking as they enjoy a variety of sounds!

Selected bands will be assigned performance times on Friday, May 13th or Friday, May 20th. Winning bands from each night will be invited back to perform in the finals on Friday, May 27th. The Battle winner from each qualifying Friday will secure their spot in the finals, along with a cash prize of $200!  The grand prize winner of Dorney Park’s Battle of the Bands competition will have the opportunity to perform a 60 minute set during Musikfest on Tuesday, August 9th and will receive a cash prize of $400!

Fans will be able to vote for their favorite band on Dorney Park’s social media channels. Voting will be open Friday through Monday following. Winners will be announced the Wednesday following their performance.

Bands interested in performing must submit an online application at www.dorneypark.com/events-and-promotions/battle-of-the-bands. The selected bands will be notified by Tuesday, May 10th. All bands must be available to perform during the finals on Friday, May 27th.

Participating bands will receive complimentary admission to Dorney Park on the night of their performance, a 2016 Souvenir Refill Bottle for each band member, a single meal voucher for each band member (valid only on the night of their performance) and an additional complimentary ticket to enjoy the thrills and spills of the park on another day during the 2016 season.
