ALLENTOWN, PA (May 9, 2016) – Thomas Williams Jr., LLS Fundraiser and Campaigner, will be celebrating his 30th birthday with “Party for a Cure,” a benefit bash for the LLS Society at The Hamilton Kitchen & Bar, Friday, May 13, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Cost of the event is a donation at the door
“There are only five weeks left in the LLS campaign and I am getting close to my final goal which is to have enough money raised to be able to fund a grant for blood cancer cure,” says Williams, director of Real Estate for Cityline Construction, who turned 30 on May 4th.
“My one employee’s step son was recently hit with a diagnoses of Leukemia. As far as treatment goes, it is one of the few blood cancers they have an effective treatment for. It is called Acute Myeloid Leukemia or AML. If I get to reach that grant goal, I will select the money will go to AML research,” adds Williams.
Williams says his LLS fundraising goal is to bring awareness to blood cancers and to try to help break last year’s collective amount of $330,000 raised.
The Party for a Cure at Hamilton Kitchen & Bar will feature drink specials, music, appetizers, plus auction items including a $3,000 diamond. All proceeds will be earmarked for LLS.org says Williams.
“Every dollar counts, and the majority of the money I have raised so far falls into the under $100 category. I am humbled by everyone’s generosity,” says Williams, who has been holding fundraisers across the Lehigh Valley since April, including a “Car Wash for a Cure,” held at Ciocca Dealerships, Quakertown, in addition to fundraisers event at Blue Grill House, Bethlehem, and The Main Gate, Allentown.
Just some volunteers of note have included Pamela Formica, Christy Del Rio, and Pamela Deller. Corporate sponsors for William’s LLS campaign include Bennett Automotive, Boyle Construction, American Bank, and Merchants Bank.
For those who unable to attend “Party for a Cure,” the LLS funding site for Thomas William’s Jr. is www.tomsquestforacure.com.
He sums, ” I am humbled by all of your generosity.” Thomas Williams Jr., is also a board member of the Judith Adele Agentis Charitable Foundation, JAACF.org.
