Lehighton, PA – The Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC), proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, is pleased to announce the addition of Maura Walker as the organization’s new Program Coordinator.
Walker joins the CCEDC team following her graduation from Kutztown University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Social Media Theory & Strategy. She also holds an Associate degree in Business Administration from Lehigh Carbon Community College and graduated with honors, earning recognition through multiple academic honor societies including Tau Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi, and Beta Gamma Sigma.
In her new role, Walker will support the coordination of chamber and economic development programming, member engagement initiatives, event logistics, marketing efforts, and organizational outreach throughout Carbon County.
Prior to joining CCEDC, Walker gained hands-on experience through marketing and social media internships with both Aramark at Kutztown University and the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce. Her experience includes content creation, event promotion, community engagement, social media scheduling, graphic design, and member communications.
“From the moment we met Maura, it was clear she brought both creativity and enthusiasm to the table,” said Kylie Adams-Weiss, Senior Vice President of the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation. “She is motivated, community-minded, and eager to grow professionally, and we’re excited to welcome her to our team as we continue building momentum across our organization and county.”
Walker’s addition comes during a period of continued growth and expansion for the CCEDC, following a recent organizational rebrand, strategic growth initiatives, and increased programming and engagement efforts throughout the region.
