Bethlehem, Lehigh Valley, PA., January 15, 2025 – ArtsQuest is pleased to announce it has been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for a Challenge America award of $10,000. This grant will directly support the Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks, presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network, for its 2025 season. The NEA awarded 272 Challenge America grants nationwide this year, totaling $2,720,000.
“The NEA is proud to continue our nearly 60 years of supporting the efforts of organizations and artists that help to shape our country’s vibrant arts sector and communities of all types across our nation,” said NEA Chair Maria Rosario Jackson, PhD. “It is inspiring to see the wide range of creative projects taking place, including ArtsQuest’s Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks.”
“Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks presented by LVHN is honored to have been selected as a recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts Challenge America award,” said Shayna Super, Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks Executive Director. “We believe that the arts serve as a powerful connector of bringing people together and supporting culture and community while simultaneously stimulating the economy. This grant will support our free family-friendly outdoor concerts and the Family Movie Series on the Levitt Lawn in 2025.”
ArtsQuest’s Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks is part of a national network of changemakers, and nonprofits dedicated to strengthening the social fabric of communities through free, live music in outdoor public spaces. Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks presents nearly 50 free concerts each summer as part of the Levitt Summer Concert Series as well as an outdoor Family Movie Series.
