Celebrating A Decade of Acclaimed speakers in the Heart of Bethlehem

Wendy Littner Thomson, owner of Wendy Littner Thomson Counseling Services, will be presenting Navigating Grief 101: “What Helps and Hinders the Ongoing Journey” on September 25, 2024, at 7 pm (doors open 6:15 pm) at the Central Moravian Church, 73 West Church Street, Historic Bethlehem.

There are a lot of myths and expectations in the world related to grief – some can make it more difficult to find your way through loss. Join Wendy for an evening exploring and learning the ways you can find hope and healing after your world has been torn apart.

Additional speakers include David James Heintzelman, Mayor of Hellertown and Supervisor of the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. in Hellertown. Lisa Giovanni, President, Visiting Nurse Association of St. Luke’s Home Health/Hospice, Inc.

Parking is free with a purchased ticket and available in the church parking lot, the Christian Education lot and on Heckewelder Place for handicapped parking.

Guests will enjoy light refreshments at 6:15 pm provided by North Star Catering. Music will be provided by Wendy Thompson, harpist.

“Grief comes in waves like weather systems in our emotional atmosphere, bringing a multitude of feelings that can loop back, evolve, rear up in no particular order and that change over time. Don’t expect grief to have an endpoint.”

Past acclaimed speakers/authors include Rabbi Harold S. Kushner, author of When Bad Things Happen to Good People and Judy Collins, folk singer and author of Sanity and Grace – A Journey of Suicide Survival and Strength.

The Historic Hotel Bethlehem has offered a complimentary appetizer to guests with the purchase of an entree on the evening of the lecture.  Just show your ticket when you arrive. Reservations for dinner are recommended, call 1-855-264-2598.

Tickets will be available for $10.00 at the door.
