November 20, 2023 – After two dedicated terms of service on the Board of School Directors, Dr. Dean Donaher, bids farewell to the Bethlehem Area School District. As he concludes his tenure on the School Board, we reflect on the invaluable contributions he has made to the betterment of education in our community.
Dr. Donaher has served as a steadfast advocate for students, parents, and educators alike, and has demonstrated unwavering commitment and passion throughout his tenure. During his tenure on the Board of School Directors he served as the Board Finance Committee chair and on the Audit Committee. He also served as BASD representative on the BAVTS Board, the NCC Board, and the Bethlehem Employee Benefit Trust.
Prior to becoming a School Board Member, he served the District as a teacher, assistant principal, Liberty High School Principal, Director of Special Programs for Athletics, and retiring as the Director of Student Services. After retirement from the District, he was elected to the School Board and served for two full terms.

Dr. Donaher has recently taken on the role of Principal of Bethlehem Catholic High School.
The BASD community wishes him continued success in his future endeavors and extends heartfelt appreciation for his exceptional service to the students, parents, and educators of our community.
