Event Review: Ribbons by Day, Fire by Night- Beltane Celebration
May 7, 2023
Gallows Hill Spirits Co.
2208 South 12th Street
Allentown, PA. 18103
There is nothing like a celebration at Gallows, especially when it’s hosted by Reverend Bea Barbara Ann Tantillo) and Chris Bogden. They set everything up including a beautiful May Pole. Reverend Bea is a rare soul in this world. She makes the world a better place. The crowd at Gallows was excited, and just having fun. It gives all of a chance to forget about our everyday hectic lives. The tomfoolery and shenanigans that happens at Gallows is a lot more fun.
Beltane was supposed to happen on April 30, 2023 but it rained last weekend. People were prepared to celebrate but Mother Nature said, nope, it’s going to rain. Maybe we needed the rain, maybe we needed the presence of the sun, a little drizzle, and a breathtaking rainbow that made an appearance today. It was as if as was right in the world today. Mother Nature certainly proved she was ready for a celebration.
What is Beltane? “Beltane is the cross-quarter day that marks the mid-point in Spring. We are now half way between the Spring Equinox & Summer Solstice.”
Beltane was held at Gallows last year, and it was even better this year if that’s even possible. Chris Bogden and Reverend Bea made everything wonderful, of course, the owner of Gallows, Bob Piano was helping out. If you have never been to Gallows, you should go visit Gallows. It’s a rare place in the world. It’s a distillery, a bar, some people call it, “home.” It’s a comfortable place. The spirits are made in-house, and there is a lot of love, heart, and soul put into everything.
You could never go wrong visiting Gallows whether it would be a tour, drinks, Music Bingo on Friday nights, or Game Night on Thursday. There is something happening around the Lehigh Valley.
