ALLENTOWN, PA, May 5, 2022 – The Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley (PCFLV) will host their Luau On The Links Golf Outing on May 9th at Brookside Country Club in Macungie, Pa. Golfers will tee off at 8 a.m. and a luncheon will follow.
Over 110 golfers are registered to compete in this friendly and fun golf outing. Golfers are encouraged to wear Hawaiian shirts, and one participant will even receive a prize for the ugliest shirt.
All proceeds from Luau On The Links will benefit the PCFLV Scholarship Fund. This program provides one-time $3,000 scholarships to local pediatric cancer survivors who are going on to college or trade school after high school. This year, 9 scholarships will be awarded. Several of the scholarship recipients will be at the after-golf luncheon to receive oversized checks. Media are invited to the event to conduct interviews with the PCFLV staff, Luau golfers and scholarship recipients. The luncheon will likely start around 1 p.m.
