UPTOWN Northampton Street Fair Returns for its 32nd Year
Northampton Area Chamber Presents:
Uptown Northampton Street Fair
September 11, 2021 | 11 AM – 4 PM
The Northampton Area Chamber, proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce invites you to join the fun & festivities at Uptown Northampton Street Fair on September 11th, 2021!
With all the elements of a great street festival, Uptown Northampton returns to Main Street with a bang! With nearly craft and business vendors, live music, food trucks, children’s activities such as rock climbing and pony rides, giveaways, and more, Northampton is clearly ready to fest again!
“2020 forced us to reschedule last year’s event to May 2021,” said Kylie Adams, Assistant Vice President of Affiliated Chambers for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. “While our ‘Mini’ May festival was great and offered a light at the end of a very long, dark pandemic tunnel, Northampton has proved that we are READY to be back in full force! The community felt the absence of our annual event last fall; it felt like a loss of a time-honored tradition, despite how understandable a change in schedule was under the circumstances. May offered a taste of what is in store for September, and we’re ready to move forward – the 11th will bring more vendors, more activities and more action for Uptown!”
The festival, which will feature nearly 90 vendors and food trucks, is returning on September 11th, 2021, and will feature rock climbing from LV Rocks, pony rides, ax throwing, two beer tents, photo opportunities with the Mario Andretti Indy Race Car, demonstrations from Elite Mixed Martial Arts (https://elitemmactr.com/), tours of the Roxy Theater and live music from Kendal Conrad (https://www.facebook.com/kendalconradmusic/) and Third Hand Acoustic (https://www.facebook.com/Third-Hand-Acoustic-107093804462203).
In addition, the day will begin with a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, offering a moment of silence and reflection on the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in 2001. Local boy scout troops, students, and cadets of the Civic Air Patrol will be in attendance to assist with the ceremony.
“While we try to keep our energy and our spirits high at Chamber events, we would be remised if we did not take a moment to share our respects of such a hallowed day in our country’s history,” said Jessica O’Donnell, EVP of Affiliated Chambers and the Northern Tier for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. “We’re encouraging the community to wear their patriotic colors for the day, and the Chamber will be handing out some patriotic giveaways at the Chamber booth, too!”
After the festival, the Gin Mill & Grille will be hosting an Uptown After Party at 8:00 PM, featuring live music from a Judas Priest and Iron Maiden Tribute Bands.
