A contractor for Upper Saucon Township has been performing repair work on the bridge which carries the Saucon Rail Trail (former SEPTA railway) over Jacoby Road. To date, the repair work has required minimal daytime closures. However, the final stages of the project will require longer closures, as the contractor will need to fabricate forms for – and pour – concrete for repairs under the overpass.
Jacoby Road will be CLOSED to through traffic beginning the morning of Monday, December 14, until early Wednesday, December 16. This closure will remain in place overnight, and the road will be reopened when the concrete is cured and forms are removed. Please follow all posted detours. Motorists are encouraged to allow extra time and use caution when traveling through work zones.
