COMMUNITY BIKE WORKS, Allentown is looking for volunteers to teach the class in their Earn-a-Bike program. This program teaches students (ages 9-17) basic bike mechanics and safety over a 12 week course. Mentors aid students as they fix their bike and learn communication and teamwork skills. SACRED HEART HOME CARE & HOSPICE, Allentown needs volunteers to help with Camp Evergreen, a children’s bereavement camp, held at Camp Fowler in Orefield from 5-11:30pm July 28-Juy 29. Children aged 6-16 learn to express themselves and their feelings after the death of a loved one. Arts & crafts, physical activities, games, song and discussion help campers learn new healthy ways to cope with the strong feelings that often emerge after a significant loss.
