FAMILY ADVENTURE FILM “THE WIZARD OF OZ” NEXT TO SHOW IN THE MOVIES IN THE PARK SERIES
The City of Allentown Department of Parks and Recreation presents the next installment of the 2015 Movies in the Park series on Friday, July 31 with “The Wizard of Oz,” at Union Terrace Park. The show will begin at dusk.
The 1939 classic stars Judy Garland, Ray Bolger, Jack Haley, Bert Lahr and Margaret Hamilton.
“Dorothy (Garland) and her dog Toto are caught in a tornado’s path and somehow end up in the Land of Oz. Here she meets some memorable friends and foes in her journey to meet the Wizard of Oz who everyone says can help her return home and possibly grant her new friends their goals of a brain, heart and courage.”
Garland sings the Academy Award winning Best Original Song “Over the Rainbow.”
This movie is rated G and runs for 100 minutes.
