ALLENTOWN PROMISE NEIGHBORHOOD HOSTS 2nd
ANNUAL RESIDENT BLOCK PARTY THIS SATURDAY DOWNTOWN
ALLENTOWN, PA – July 29, 2015 – Allentown Promise Neighborhood will host its Second Annual Resident Block Party to bring neighborhood residents together with local public service agencies this Saturday, August 1 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on 9th Street between Liberty and Gordon Streets.
The free event for APN neighborhood residents will feature partner information tables from more than 25 local non-profit groups, food and beverages, music, games for children, and other entertainment. It will be held rain or shine.
Highlights include:
- DJ playing music
- performances on stage
- dunk tank
- games
- food vendors
- First 100 registered adults receive a free APN drawstring bag
- Individuals who get their passport stamped at each partner information table will be entered in drawing for FREE raffle prizes.
Habitat for Humanity Lehigh Valley, a PNLV partner agency, is assisting with organizing the event.
Event sponsors include Lehigh Valley Health Network, St. Luke’s University Health Network, City Center Lehigh Valley, Lafayette Ambassador Bank, and Community Action Development Corporation of Allentown.
The non-profit Promise Neighborhoods of the Lehigh Valley unites residents and leaders from various sectors to ensure the success of children from birth through career.
