Opening Day for Dorney Park is this Friday, May 4th, 2018
DORNEY PARK, Allentown, PA (May 1, 2018) – Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, the center of summer fun and family entertainment in the Lehigh Valley, will officially open its gates for the 2018 season on Friday, May 4th at 10:00 AM. Exclusive pass offers, a new Executive Chef, new dining options, shows and fun will highlight the season.
“Our 135th Season at Dorney Park will be AMAZING! Our new Pre-K Passes bring even more value to a visit at our park; there is truly something for everyone. For the 2018 season, Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom launched a new Pre-K Season Pass specifically for young children. The Pre-K Pass grants free admission to Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, Dinosaurs Alive!, and The Great Pumpkin Fest, to children 3 to 5 years of age, for the entire season. Online registration and in-park activation is required for the Pre-K Pass; guests need to register by May 28, 2018, and activate by June 29, 2018. Dorney Park 2018 Season Passes are currently at the lowest price of the year; they reach their value in less than two visits and Season Passholders can come and go like they own the place! In celebration of opening weekend, Dorney Park will hold an exclusive Season Passholder Party with the PEANUTS™ event on Saturday and Sunday, May 5th and 6th from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Season Passholders will be able to enjoy a complimentary Character Breakfast and activities with Snoopy and the PEANUTS™ Gang. Throughout the 2018 season, guests can enjoy a variety of special events in addition the thrills and spills of the park. Celebrate Mom at Dorney Park on May 13th for a delicious Mother’s Day Brunch and get excited for The Harlem Globetrotters Experience on May 19th and 20th. Dorney Park will offer several special promotions over Memorial Day Weekend to celebrate the official start of summer! From May 26th through May 28th, guests can chow down at the Memorial Day Cookout, take advantage of special ticket offers, and enjoy a spectacular fireworks display!
Heading the 2018 culinary initiative, is Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom’s new Executive Chef, Don Stauffer. Chef Don brings 20+ years of experience, and has an extensive background in the entertainment industry and catering.
New eatery, Cantina Burrito will bring the flavor on opening day, and will offer fresh fare with home-made ingredients. Its Mexican-inspired menu will include made-to-order Burritos, Burrito Bowls and Nachos. Cantina Burrito will be located near Center Stage and Dominator in Dorney Park. In addition to this new eatery, Chef Don will also introduce “The Dominator,” a 2-foot long hot dog, and make enhancements to the extreme milkshakes available at Coasters Drive-In, located on the main midway of Dorney Park, next to Kaleidoscope.

Two exclusive Dorney Park hand-crafted beers will debut for the 2018 season. To mare the industry, these amusement-themed brews, Lazy Lager and Epic Ale were crafted to excite and amaze taste buds.
