Easton, Pa. (Feb. 21, 2018) – Mahesh Krishnamurthy, MD, FACP, SFHM, was appointed Director of Medical Education and Designated Institutional Official at Steward Easton Hospital. In this expanded role, Krishnamurthy will oversee the educational environment of students and residents in the hospital’s fully accredited residency training programs with Drexel University School of Medicine. Krishnamurthy will ensure the quality of training as well as the stability and excellence of graduate medical accreditation programs.
Krishnamurthy has been with Steward Easton Hospital for 13 years, most recently as Director of the Hospitalist Program. Prior to that role, he served as Director of the Medical Residency program, which has maintained a 100 percent board pass rate during his tenure. During his time at the hospital, he has excelled in the education of residents and students and has received the “Teacher of the Year” award by both Steward Easton Hospital and Drexel University School of Medicine a number of times.
Dr. Krishnamurthy completed his Internal Medicine residency training at the New York Methodist Hospital, and his Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at the New York University. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.
