Bobby Messano, Eric Steckel, Craig Thatcher’s Tribute to Cream Among the Shows
Allentown, PA [April 28, 2015] – Blues Hall of Fame Inductee, Bobby Messano, Lehigh Valley native and blues touring artist Eric Steckel, and “The Cream of Clapton” a tribute to Cream by Craig Thatcher, will be a few of the acts appearing at the inaugural Blues Festival held at Mayfair Festival of the Arts this Memorial Day weekend.
While all other music festivals within Mayfair Festival will run full days, the Blues Festival will run during the evenings from 6:00pm to 9:30pm. Here is the complete lineup for The Blues Festival at Mayfair Festival:
James Supra Blues Band
Friday 6:00 to 7:30
This blues band led by harmonica expert James Supra has been wowing local audiences for years. When Supra and his band hit the stage, they offer a tight, high-energy, harmonica-driven groove.

Eric Steckel
Friday 8:00 to 9:30
At the tender age of 10, Steckel was already delivering blues performances with an intensity and skill that belied his youth. A Lehigh Valley native, he learned from some of the top local musicians, played at Mayfair, and went on to release his first album at age 11. His passion for music enabled him to tour internationally ever since, playing numerous blues festivals and sharing the stage with some of the finest touring artists.

The Blues Professors Saturday 6:00 to 7:30 Heath Mensher, a Professor of Film and Literature who routinely plays in NYC and has licensed 6 of his original blues tunes to The Discovery Channel, along with Joe Mixon, a Professor of Music who has performed at Philly Folk Festival, Hershey Park and numerous blues festivals, make up The Blues Professors. Craig Thatcher Band
“The Cream of Clapton”

This Lehigh Valley band will present a remarkably-accurate musical tribute to one of the most memorable 1960’s bands, Cream, the world’s first blues/rock/psychedelic super trio. The show will include hits like “Sunshine of Your Love,” “White Room,” “Crossroads” and “Badge.” A must-see show for fans of Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, and Jack Bruce.
