MEALS ON WHEELS OF LEHIGH COUNTY HONORED AS TOP-RATED NONPROFIT FOR THE FOURTH YEAR IN A ROW

Allentown, PA, May 22, 2017 –Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County announced today it has been named a “2017 Top-Rated Nonprofit” by GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews of charities and nonprofits.
Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County provides home-delivered meals, well-being checks and friendly visits to 450 homebound seniors and adults with disabilities each weekday. It also provides grocery shopping services to more than 150 people. These services help to keep the Agency’s clients healthy and living in their own homes for as long as possible.

The Top-Rated Nonprofit Award is the based on the rating and number of reviews that Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County received from volunteers, donors and clients. One reviewer wrote: “Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County is an invaluable asset to the community. I’ve been a member of the Board for 2 years and have witnessed such dedication from the staff as well as the volunteers. Their commitment to serving the clients is to be commended as they deliver so much more than a meal. They have such compassion for the clients and treat them as if they were a part of their own family. I enjoy delivering and hearing unique stories from each of the clients about what the organization means to them and how it has impacted their lives. I am truly honored to be a part of this phenomenal organization.”
