In 2017 the Greater Bethlehem Soccer League will be celebrating it’s 50th season of providing recreational/instructional soccer to children in the area. The league has a “Sunday Afternoon only” format for boys and girls ages 5-13 and all games/practices take place on Lehigh University’s Goodman Campus.

Stephanie Powell Watts will have at a reading/signing/launch party for her new novel, “No One Is Coming to Save Us” (a B&N Discover New Writers selection) at 7 PM on Tuesday April 4, at the Barnes & Noble in the Southmont Center out by 33 at 4445 Southmont Way, Easton, PA 18045. Friday, April 7, 2017 – East Hills Science Fun Night
East Hills Middle School will host the fifth annual SCIENCE FUN NIGHT (SFN) on April 7th from 5:30 – 8:30 PM. SFN is a free, family-oriented event open to all members of the community. See live animals, make slime, learn to code with ozobots, explore forensics with the Bethlehem Police Department, sample ice cream made with the famous liquid nitrogen, and much more. 2017 Cops ‘n’ Kids Eleventh Annual Celebration of Reading … and the Arts and Sciences – April 22, 2017 – Students Needed to Perform
With the help of our entire community, the award-winning Cops ‘n’ Kids Children’s Literacy Program has reached a remarkable milestone, distributing more than 760,000 free books thus far. To celebrate this accomplishment, and the children of our community, we invite you to join us (rain or shine) for a day of food, fun, family, crafts, entertainment, laughter—and, of course, literacy. Baseball Umpires Needed
Bethlehem Umpires Association (BUA) is actively taking applications for baseball umpires! Whether you are an experienced umpire, or looking to break into the game as a rookie, we have the appropriate level for you. We offer a competitive level of play for all levels of experience and the opportunity to umpire throughout the greater Lehigh Valley area. Our organization officiates over 1500+ games for Little League, Travel Teams, Connie Mack, Youth Legion, and LVMSBL (Men’s League) from April until November. Take your passion for sports and turn it into a part time avocation that will enable you to give back to the community. We accept members starting at 16 and offer education, training and mentorships to improve your skills and obtain higher level games as you gain more experience. If you are an experienced umpire and you would like to try to get involved in a group we would love to hear from you. The BUA has over 1500 games that we need to cover each season and we are always looking for new and experienced officials to add to our officiating team.
