Funds will be used for PBS39 educational programs and services.
Bethlehem, Pa. — March 29, 2017 — PBS39, the Greater Lehigh Valley’s public television station, will make an impact on thousands of students this year with help from PPL Electric Utilities.
The $50,000 PPL donation will be used to fund many of PBS39’s educational programs and services, including Production U, Raising Readers, Crazy 8s Math, the Full STEAM Ahead! Early Childhood Education Initiative, and other programs approved by the guidelines set forth in Pennsylvania’s Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.
“PPL is committed to improving the communities where our customers and employees live and work,” said Carol Obando-Derstine, PPL Electric Utilities’ Regional Affairs Director. “A well-rounded education for our community’s children today will help them become the creative workforce of the future.”
