Bethlehem, Pa. — March 3, 2017 — PBS39 is excited to host Latino opera sensation Fernando Varela in studio this Monday, March 6 at 8 p.m. as part of this month’s fundraising drive. Varela will take part in a live interview to talk about his American musical journey, which led him to the production of the PBS special, Coming Home.
Coming Home features the world-class tenor with special guests Jackie Evancho, William Joseph, Stephen Moccio, and Caroline Campbell for a magical evening showcasing musical favorites, including “Nessun Dorma,” “All By Myself,” “Three Times a Lady,” and more.
Varela has performed at the White House, Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, and on America’s Got Talent. His first classical-crossover album, “Vivere,” will debut later this month, and will be followed by an extensive tour of the United States.
